Editing business pages

To edit your business page information, navigate to the ‘You’ tab in the mobile application (this will be the main page on the mobile website). And click ‘Edit Page’ under the Business Page section. If you’re using the desktop website, this option is accessible on the left-hand panel.
If you have multiple business on Aboutli, you’ll be presented with a menu from which you can select the business you want to edit.

Understanding the edit page.
Your Edit page serves as the control center for how customers view your business. Here, you manage all information associated with your page – from business information to the video that customers see.  

Upon opening you’ll see a coloured status bar at the top of the page (see understanding page status), followed by the word ‘Edit’, your business name, and your business page id. If you’re using the mobile application, you’ll also be able to preview your page by clicking on the status bar at the top. 

The edit page is divided into the seven sections listed below. Each section corresponds to a section of the page that your customers see.  To edit any of the sections, click the edit button to the right of each.

Your video: Your video section is where you can preview your current video, upload a new video to Aboutli, change your page thumbnail, as well as request our video production services. For more information about videos and thumbnails, see ‘uploading a new video or thumbnail’.

Business Information: Here is where you fill out basic information about your business such as the address website and contact info. You’ll also need to select a category for your business.  If your business is on Google, then you can press the ‘Use Google’ Button at the top of the page to automatically fill in relevant fields. Make sure that all information is correct before hitting save as some fields may not map correctly.

Opening hours: Here you must fill in your opening hours.  And like in the business info section, you can press the ‘Use Google’ Button at the top of the page to automatically fill in relevant fields. Make sure that all information is correct before hitting save as some fields may not map correctly. If your business is closed on a specific day, and you have not used autofill, hit the options button (desktop) or the 3-dot menu icon (mobile) and select ‘We’re closed this day’.

Customer action: Decide the main action you want customers to take when they visit your business page on Aboutli. There are two fields presented here: the first is used to select the action (This can be Book, Shop, Inquire, Reserve or Quote. Select the one that makes the most sense for your business).

The second field is where you paste the link. This is where customers will be taken when they press, your action button. This can be a link to the bookings page or contact form on your website, or a link to a third-party service.  For example, if you’re a restaurant and you deliver through a service like Uber Eats, then simply search for your business on that platform, click on your business and copy and paste URL into the action link.

Services and attributes: Here you can add up to 8 of your most important services to show customers what you have to offer.  You can also add attributes which you can use to better connect with your customers based upon shared values. Current attributes include LGBTQ+ Friendly, BIPOC, Women Owned, Organic, Vegan, Vegetarian, Environmentally Friendly and Accessible.  

To add an attribute, press the toggle switch to the left of each attribute.

To suggest an attribute that’s not available, send us a feature request through our feedback form located under your account options.
6.
Socia media: It is highly recommended that you leverage your existing social media to expand your online presence as well as make your page more engaging and appealing to customers.

Connect your Instagram account so that your 25 most recent posts are always visible on your page.

Connect your TikTok to see your 25 most recent TikTok videos.

Leverage your existing Google reviews to show how well your business is rated. Your 5 most recent reviews will also be visible to customers on Aboutli.

To connect any of the above services, press the toggle to the right of the service you want to connect to and follow the login instructions of the provider. Your social feeds will update every 48hours. Google reviews are always up to date.
7.
Additional languages: This can be very important to customers: especially those who are newcomers or tourists. It can be invaluable to them to know that when they go to your business, they will have someone who understands them.  
Press the add button on the edit language page and select from the list of available languages. English is the language by default.
